Where do we meet and what time will we start?
We will be meeting at one of the marinas around the lake depending on where my fish are biting. Start time varies on the length of your trip, weather conditions and what time the fish in prior days have been biting. I am very flexible for my clients!

When is the best time of year to come to Lake Fork?
If I had to pick a date it would be anytime in February - May or anytime between June-October for a night trip! This is when most of my clients catch fish over 10 lbs. But, the winter is a great time to come fish Lake Monticello or Lake Welsh which are hot water lakes here in the local area.

What baits do we need to bring along?
This is a tough one. Lake Fork is notorious for a quick pattern change. I have all the baits needed for your trip with me. But, if big fish is what you are after it never hurts to have some jigs, DD-22, 10 inch worms and some creature baits handy.

How many can we fit in your boat?
I only take up to 3 clients in my boat. If you have more in your group, I will have to hire another guide to accommodate them or you can pay for a trail boat. Another guide will be charging the same amount as my service. These are always fun trips.

How many fish will we be catching and will I catch a 10lb. + fish?
I always make certain to narrow down as many variables as possible during your trip to ensure you have a successful day. I do this by having top of the line equipment, fresh quality line and sharp hooks. But, some things I have no control over for example, high winds and cold fronts. All I guarantee is that I will try very hard to keep our numbers up and make them BIG!

What will we learn while on the water with you?
I enjoy teaching and explaining everything we are doing throughout the day. I want to answer any question you might have while we are out on the water. The style and tactics taught will mostly depend on the season of your trip.

I can provide an assortment of rods and reels for you. In case of breakage or loss of gear the following applies $100.00 per rod and $200.00 per reel. If you bring your rods and reels please spool with fresh 17lb or higher quality line, like Seagaur or Power Pro Braid. These fish are strong and Lake Fork is full of submerged cover!

How are the night fishing trips?
Night fishing during the summer on Lake Fork has provided more memorable trips for my clients than any other time of the year. I offer night trips starting April 1 and continue through October. I try to book clients on or around the full moon period during these months. I know that Bass feed throughout the month but, the moonlight allows anglers to see better while on the water. Since the best moonlight is 5 days prior, the night of and 5 days after the full moon, trips must usually be booked at least a month ahead of time as these dates get booked quickly.

What style of fishing do you specialize in?
90% of my clients prefer catching a few big fish over lots of little ones. So I have dedicated my service to hunt down and learn all I can about catching double digit bass. Therefore, I specialize in trophy size bass here on Lake Fork. If you are wanting quantity over quality we can do that too. But, the two styles of fishing differ and we will usually be doing one or the other throughout our trip, depending on your request.
